LandHawk – Responsible Land Development Made Easier.

Land Search Software Tool: Entry Tier For Land Agents

Our land search software tool Entry Tier is ideal for those customers, like land agents, who wish to quickly source and validate individual land development sites. Users can search for a known title number, or an address, or across an area of interest (e.g. postcode) and then turn on the relevant geospatial layers to scrutinize the site for planning applications, environmental constraints, and HMLR title polygon extents. Alternatively, Entry customers can start by switching on the required data layers and then speculatively roam around the mapping window to identify potential opportunities. Land parcels of interest can then be saved as site cards in your Workspace, arranged by project and, if appropriate, shared across your organisation. It is also possible to export customised, banded maps to scale.

LandHawk Entry Tier can be purchased on a per user or enterprise licence basis.

For those customers who wish to search, filter and analyse large numbers of parcels at pace and scale, our Pro tier is likely to be a more appropriate option.

Land search data

As with our Pro package, our Entry level tier includes more than 150 geospatial datasets organised into categories. These include: administrative areas, amenities and demographics; education, environment and healthcare; historic and planning; property and structures. Our most popular datasets with Entry users – HMLR title deed polygons, planning applications, HMLR price paid, and constraints data such as flood, AONB, SSSI – are all covered by the Entry level tier with no limitation on usage.

For those customers who require additional datasets such as substations, renewable planning application database, utilities, land use and agricultural land classification, and topography, our Pro tier will be more appropriate.

Land search tools

The ability to quickly switch on these data layers and visualise them together, contextually, in a single window brings significant value in its own right. However, we understand that this is only part of a successful land sourcing process, especially for those customers who wish to search, filter and analyse large numbers of land parcels quickly and efficiently – i.e. our Pro tier customers. We have therefore developed a number of geospatially-enabled tools to allow intelligent, user-defined, multi-faceted interrogation of the data based on specific suitability criteria. These include:

  • Control Centre.
  • Planning Alerts. Here you can set up notifications for new planning application activity. Based on your chosen geographic area(s) and application type(s), we will send you an email whenever a parcel of land experiences a corresponding change.
  • The Comparables tool allows you to see a macro average view of land in the area. You’ll be able to see average price per square foot, market value change, average land area etc.
  • Workspace.
  • Projects.

All of the above can be used without limits within the LandHawk Entry tier.

Tools not included in the Entry tier, but which are available in Pro, include:

  • SiteFinder.
  • Risk analysis profile.
  • User-defined draw polygon tool.
  • Land assembly tool.
  • Land ownership tool.

More information about these tools can be found on the LandHawk Pro page.
