LandHawk – Responsible Land Development Made Easier.

LandHawk Appoints New Junior GIS Analyst

LandHawk would like to welcome Dachindra Ravichandran to the team as our Junior GIS Analyst.

Having recently graduated, Dachindra is keen to apply her learnings in the real world as part of LandHawk’s talented and growing team.

From analysing datasets to exploring beautiful landscapes, let’s find out a bit more about her.

Tell us a little bit about your career so far.

I recently graduated from the University of Aberdeen, specialising in GIS with a background in ecology and environmental sciences. Throughout my academic journey, I have acquired a solid foundation in spatial analysis, data management and mapping techniques. I am thrilled to embark on my professional career, eager to apply my knowledge and skills in GIS to various projects.

What do you like most about your job?

One aspect of my job that I particularly enjoy is the opportunity to convert complex data into visually appealing maps that are easily understandable to users. It is fulfilling to see how maps can effectively communicate information and facilitate decision-making processes. Additionally, I find great satisfaction in working with different datasets and analysing them, as it allows me to uncover insights and patterns that contribute to meaningful outcomes.

What do you bring to the team?

As a team member, I aim to leverage my GIS background to contribute to the organisation and analysis of new data. I am confident in my abilities to organise and create datasets that are valuable for the team’s objectives. Furthermore, I am eager to collaborate with my colleagues, share my expertise and learn from their experiences, fostering a productive and supportive team environment.

What are you looking forward to most?

Looking ahead, I am excited about the prospect of conducting data analysis using new software tools. I believe that these opportunities will not only enhance my technical skills but also enable me to explore innovative approaches in data analysis and visualisation. I am eager to continually learn, execute sophisticated analysis techniques and contribute to the growth and success of the team.

What interest you outside of work?

Beyond work, I have diverse interests that keep me engaged outside of office hours. I enjoy playing badminton, which not only keeps me physically active but also allows me to unwind and have fun. Nature holds a special place in my heart, and I find solace in taking trails and wandering amidst beautiful landscapes. Additionally, I value spending quality time with friends, whether it’s catching up over a cup of coffee or exploring new places together.

As well as Dachindra’s latest appointment, we are recruiting to support our continued growth. Take a look at our careers page here.
