Tell us a little bit about your career so far.
I started my career with Accenture as an associate Python developer, working with a banking client on creating a system for pension calculation for people in Finland. After two years, I sought a new opportunity and joined a team in the UK that developed FPGA cards. In that role, I was responsible for handling the data generated from those cards.
What do you like most about your job?
I find the idea of using GIS to help people find optimal development locations very interesting. The software involved in this process requires extensive data handling, which aligns well with my prior experience. I have worked with data and managed code bases that handle large datasets, so I’m excited to make the most of this opportunity and contribute effectively to the project.
What do you bring to the team?
As a new member of the team, my goal is to leverage my coding knowledge to enhance the backend functionality of the software, making it more efficient. I’m always ready to assist my team in any type of problem and contribute in any way possible.
What are you looking forward to most?
Although GIS is new to me, I always look forward to working on different types of problems. My primary focus will be on our data acquisition activities to ensure that our processes are robust and that the data is as current, accurate and complete as possible. I’m also excited about collaborating with a team of passionate tech enthusiasts and learning from their expertise.
What interests you outside of work?
Outside of work, I engage myself in various activities. I enjoy playing sports like football, cricket and swimming. Gaming is also a passion of mine, particularly playing games like Valorant and FIFA, which often occupy most of my free time. Additionally, I have a keen interest in travelling and embarking on adventures like trekking and hiking.
