LandHawk is excited to announce the appointment of George Lamb as our new Land Analyst.
With a comprehensive background in property, George will put his experience and enthusiasm to use within the LandHawk team at an exciting growth stage for the business, following the recent acquisition by Idox.
He brings with him a wealth of subject matter knowledge and a real thirst to work within the PropTech sector. Apart from his affinity with Manchester United, he has settled in seamlessly with the team and we look forward to him growing with the business.
We asked George a few questions to find out a bit more about him.
Tell us a little bit about your career so far
I started my career working for a company that helped independent estate agents across the UK build and grow a profitable land and new homes business. I worked for the company for 6 years and worked closely with estate agents, house builders, architects, planning consultants and many other industry professionals. I really enjoyed travelling the country looking at development opportunities and meeting with collaborative partners.
What do you like most about your new job so far?
I really enjoy working closely with our software users helping them find their next development opportunity and improving the technology for them. I like the team workshops where we all come together and share our ideas on how we can further improve LandHawk for our users – whether that be added data intelligence, new features or styling updates.
What do you bring to the team?
I hope I can bring my experience within the land and development sector to help the software and design team to develop the platform. I also hope I can use my character and knowledge to work with the LandHawk users to make sure they are getting the most out of the platform.
What are you looking forward to most?
I’m looking forward to learning more about software design, the massive amounts of data that we have available and how all of it can help our LandHawk users in different ways. I’m also looking forward to more team meals and trips to the pub!
What interests you outside of work?
Outside of work, I love watching football (I’m a Man United fan so this ruins most of my weekends). I enjoy going on long walks around where I live and finishing up at a pub, spending time with friends and family and demolishing good food!
