Tell us a little bit about your career so far.
My professional design journey began amidst the challenging circumstances of the pandemic-induced lockdown in New Zealand. Despite the unconventional start, I quickly adapted and embraced the field of user experience (UX) design. Initially, I honed my skills at a company focused on creating law firm application software.
Over the course of two years, I progressed to become the lead UX designer, responsible for managing a suite of over 20 applications. Seeking new opportunities, I ventured to New Zealand’s largest telecommunications company, where I served as a product/service designer for the mobile portfolio. However, my desire for fresh challenges led me to London, where LandHawk offered me the exciting opportunity to spearhead our UX operations.
What do you like most about your job?
What truly captivates me about my role is the fusion of problem-solving and creativity. The ability to craft functional and aesthetically pleasing designs, finding the delicate balance between the two, serves as my daily motivation.
What do you bring to the team?
With a customer-centric approach and a talent for creative problem-solving, I offer a unique perspective to the team. I take pride in my ability to actively listen to users’ needs and navigate complex information to deliver exceptional user experiences.
What are you looking forward to most?
Foremost, I am eager to connect with my new colleagues, fostering strong collaborative relationships within the team. Additionally, I am excited about the prospect of applying my designs to LandHawk’s applications and engaging with our clients to gather their valuable feedback and insights.
What interests you outside of work?
Beyond work, I find joy in various activities. I am passionate about bouldering and love exploring the countryside, constantly seeking new adventures. While I watch rugby and F1, I anticipate embracing football with the arrival of the new season. Furthermore, spending quality time with friends in parks, engaging in conversations over picnics, brings me immense happiness.
